My beat is consumer AI companion and character-chat platforms. Janitor AI is the focus here, and my wider coverage includes Character AI, SpicyChat, CrushOn AI, Chub AI, Candy AI, Replika and Chai. That range gives the comparison table a real point of reference instead of a one-app view.

How I Approach a Platform

I start from official sources and only then look at what users say. For Janitor AI that means the login page, the help center, both store listings and the subscription FAQ, each read on the day of publication. User complaints from the official subreddit go on the page as user reports, clearly labelled, never as product facts.

Prices, perks and menu paths get re-checked before every update rather than carried over from an old draft. When a rule has an official wording, I quote it. The full process is on the methodology page.

What I Don't Do

I don't take sponsored coverage, and no platform sees my work before it goes live. I don't hold a financial interest in any platform I cover beyond the affiliate revenue disclosed on the editorial policy page. If any of that changes, the change is logged there first.

Contact

My main channel is LinkedIn, and corrections, review requests and press questions all go there. Corrections get a seven-working-day turnaround. Press queries are answered as quickly as live editorial work allows.

I'm based in Amsterdam, so my working day runs on Central European Time. This site, however, is written for US readers, so prices are in US dollars and state-level rules are named where they matter. When a timing claim depends on time zone, I give it in UTC.
